PingOne API Intelligence adds an AI (artificial intelligence) security layer to your API gateways. This allows you to continuously monitor all API traffic across your entire organization by tracking activity by each user’s identity in order to gain in-depth insights into anomalous API activity while detecting and blocking any potential threats.

Inline Model: Offers a high-performance reverse proxy that can protect API gateways and APIs implemented directly on application servers to automatically block attacks.
Sideband Model: Provides the same AI-powered attack detection and insight as the inline option without requiring network/infrastructure modifications. Ping is simply “dropped-in” on the side of an API gateway—outside of the data path.
