Wow! It was amazing to once again get the opportunity to connect with our customers and partners in person at Ping YOUniverse Americas. A huge thank you to those who took the time to join us in Austin, Texas. Hearing customers, partners, Ping's own technical experts, and even a real cowboy share their insight and expertise was one of the highlights of my year. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

Connection and Fireside Fun Kick Off PingYOU!

Spending quality time fireside catching up and hearing about everyone’s latest accomplishments at the Ping YOUniverse Opening Reception was the perfect way to kick things off. We shared laughs, drinks, and great conversation around the fire while enjoying s’mores. Plus, we were greeted with some surprise guests—Brisket the longhorn and Bubu the alpaca!

Architecting Simplicity

Thanks to all who joined me for the opening keynote address at Ping YOUniverse. I discussed the importance of simplicity in today’s complex world and talked about Ping’s exciting plans for the future. A huge part of that vision involves PingOne DaVinci, so we explored our vision of the game-changing possibilities that DaVinci’s low-code/no-code orchestration can unlock. It’s all about building exceptional experiences for every user.

Candace shared Ping’s vision for the future in this product overview. This exclusive PingYOU presentation covered upcoming product releases and showcased how to streamline access to cloud, mobile, SaaS, and on-premises applications across the hybrid enterprise.

Win the Amazing Race of Life—The Ultimate Experience
Cord McCoy, PBR Champion & Finalist on The Amazing Race

We also heard from Cord McCoy, a rodeo champion and television personality known for doing multiple stints on the CBS series The Amazing Race. Cord talked about his unique identity story, discussing rodeo experiences and time spent traveling the world with his brother. His guest keynote appearance was truly special and left attendees feeling inspired and ready to take on whatever life throws their way.

Championing Every Identity: How Ping Delivers Equity in Products

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just important to Ping’s culture, they are core tenets of our product development and documentation. In this PingYOU session, a panel of Ping Identians chatted about Ping’s efforts focused on changing biased security language and improving accessibility and universal design. They also discussed how Ping Identity’s selfie and voice verification capabilities specifically focus on racial and ethnic diversity.

Delivered Fifteen Sessions and Four Tracks

What a privilege to gather these great minds! We shared many exciting developments with our customers. Ping YOUniverse sessions were organized into the following four tracks, and several customers participated to share their stories.

• The DaVinci Experience - PingOne DaVinci is new, and it’s generating a lot of buzz in the market. In this session track, we outlined the benefits of DaVinci, how it enables faster passwordless deployment, and the business value of faster integration and deployment using DaVinci. We also touched on how customers can easily integrate their existing PingFederate deployments with DaVinci.

• Cloud Migration - Migrating to the cloud is a priority for most organizations. In this session track, we heard cloud migration stories from numerous customers. Honeywell and Delta Airlines covered their migration to PingOne Advanced Services. Plus, Equifax discussed how they run their cloud DevOps program and rebuild it every two weeks. We also heard from SiriusXM, who expressed the business value they’re seeing from migrating to the cloud.

• Identity Innovation - Identity is an exciting space with a lot going on, but sometimes one must look beyond the immediate horizon to strategically plan for the future. In this session track, we covered topics like how authorization enables a more secure framework when paired with existing authentication policies. Next, we talked about integrating risk signals into authentication policies to help with passwordless deployments. We couldn’t talk about innovation without covering the topic of decentralized identity and discussing how to build a more distributed architecture that will increase security and enable personal privacy and control for end users. 

• Frictionless Security - Users expect great security, but more and more they’re expecting great user experiences as well. This session track presented topics like preventing fraud using risk signals. Ping Identity customer Gap showed how they were able to improve their customer experience across multiple websites. Ping identity’s technical experts showed how DaVinci makes user migration seamless for end users and how it accelerates zero trust by speeding up vendor integrations.

Twenty-seven Holiday Meals Donated on Behalf of PingYOU Attendees

Attendees were asked to stamp passports at each sponsor booth and Ping4Good pledged to donate one meal for each fully stamped passport that was returned. Thanks to the participation of Ping YOUniverse attendees, we donated 27 holiday meals to families in need. A huge thank you to all who participated in the Passport Chase!

Experience What’s Possible with DaVinci!

Our partners were challenged to create their own DaVinci flows, and they really delivered. Organizations were able to reimagine the role identity plays in the enterprise. Attendees jumpstarted day two of Ping YOUniverse with the Art of the Possible exhibition and a gourmet coffee bar brought to us by PingInsider. The latte art was pretty amazing, but we were especially blown away by the masterpieces our Ping Partners created!

Celebrating Six Ping Identity Customers

It was truly an honor to recognize best-in-class identity achievements for the 6th Annual Identity Excellence Awards at Ping YOUniverse in Austin! Reviewing the nominations and seeing all the ways our customers are continuing to innovate in the field is both exciting and inspiring. I had the pleasure of presenting the awards and congratulating the Ping customers and partners who went above and beyond to secure their business, create better experiences for their users, and pave the way for the industry. What a group!
