PingDirectory Certification
The Ping Identity Certified Advanced System Administrator - PingDirectory certification measures the candidate’s ability to perform advanced PingDirectory configuration, troubleshooting, and more advanced instances of basic configuration operations covered in the Professional-level exam.
The exam covers the following knowledge about PingDirectory version 9 or later:
Create and/or manage an ACI
Configure PingDirectoryProxy to balance entries between two instances of PingDirectory
Configure PingDataSync to migrate data from another directory
Update and manage certificates
Manage setting up, purging, and restoring soft deletes
Backup and restore data
Configure and manage replication
Configure a global index
Use the makeldif command to generate an LDIF file based on a template
Configure a mirrored subtree
Add/Initialize/Remove a server in a replication topology
Create/edit/delete a schema definition
Create and use a sensitive attribute

Apply constraints to a JSON attribute
Create/export/import encryption settings definitions
Use an encrypted LDIF file
Create a password validator
Create a password policy
Create a log retention policy
Create a log rotation policy
Create a basic access log publisher
Create a filtered log publisher

Configure uncached entries and/or attributes
Configure PingDirectoryProxy as a load balancer

This exam is delivered as a proctored performance-based exam using a live environment, in which the candidate needs to perform system configuration and administration tasks. This exam consists of 4 main tasks with a number of subtasks in each main task. Once a candidate has moved on from a main task, they will not be able to return to a completed task. There is a time limit of approximately 210 minutes (3.5 hours).
The exam environment is a CentOS 7 Linux-based desktop environment. All tools and information needed to complete the tasks are provided within the exam environment. Some tools that are available in the environment include:

Instructions for the tasks are open upon accessing the exam environment. There is also a shortcut on the Desktop to reopen the instructions if needed.
